Types of road transport services

Road transport services are divided into:

passenger;

cargo;

cargo and passengers.

Service road passenger public transport divided into buses and taxis.

Bus transport - is the movement of people and luggage with a road vehicle in which the number of seats for more than nine (including the driver).

The determining factor in this case is the number of seats (nine or more) and what services are provided on pre-scheduled routes, and not individually.

bus charter passengers are carried out in two modes: 

1. Usually - the motion carried on the route with all stops prescribed schedule;

2. Express - movement on the route is carried out with reduced number of stops and time the ferry.

Transport taxis - is the carriage of passengers and their baggage on an individual basis by car, the number of seats in which at least nine.

Freight transport by road special appointments are made by carriers to order the owners of the goods or their authorized persons.

Cargo-passenger - a passenger with cargo cargo-passenger cars.

At the place of Transport services can be divided into:
interior;
international.

Domestic transport of passengers on bus routes are divided into general use:
city - on routes within the territory of the settlement;
Suburban - on routes of up to 50 kilometers, regardless of the administrative-territorial division of the routes;
long distance (within the region and inter-regional) - routes, the length of which exceeds 50 kilometers.

Transportation to order - a carriage on the agreed conditions of the carrier and the customer for a particular party to the treaty route.

Tourist transport - are irregular transportation of passengers on predetermined routes with tourist purposes.

Passenger carrier which carries tourist traffic or transportation of passengers by order, prohibited from boarding passengers at the points assigned to pick up passengers on bus routes, common use.

International transport of passengers and goods by road are carried out between the origin and destination, one or both are located outside the territory of Ukraine.

Organization of international transport of passengers and goods by road is carried out by carriers in accordance with international treaties of Ukraine on international road transport.

The rules of international transport of goods by road through the territory of Ukraine shall be approved by the central executive authority in the field of transport (Ministry of Transport). At the same time the rules of international transport of passengers by road through the territory of Ukraine approved the Decree number 176.

International cooperation in the sphere of international transport of passengers and goods by road provides a central executive authority in the field of transport (Ministry of Transport), which is within its powers:
organize monitoring international treaties of Ukraine on the international transport of passengers and goods by road;
participates in efforts to conclude international agreements on international transport of passengers and cargo;
provides the issuance of documents permitting the international carriage of passengers and cargo, and so on.
